Who is Chase and Status?

The Kings of Drum n Bass

The duos first contribution to the scene was from Chase and Status on the label Renegade Hardware and included with big tracks such as Love's Theme, Iron Fist and Hoodrat on upcoming record labels such as Bingo, BC Presents and Habit. DJ's: Andy C, Mampi Swift, Friction, Zinc, Pendulum, Fabio and Bad Company have given grand support for their genre which has only been further proven by nonstop play on BBC Radio One

Ever since the making of their dnb career in 2004, chase and status have quickly been moving up in the dnb scene. Their genre is a mix of melodic dubstep and drum n bass and they have performed remixes of dozens of new songs by various artists imputting their own style. Some have said their genre even borders on dream trance. Chase and Status have been impacted by artists of the same genre such as Pendulum but really set a name for themselves in the last three years especially 2007 and 2008. Once the small genre of the mix of dnb and dubstep became mainstream they really took off and began to top the charts. They still have not caught on outside of the UK in markets like the USA however the trend seems to show that they will. Their myspace official page shows that they have received over 200,000 visitors and their Lastfm page shows that they have over 100,000 listeners that have scrobbled tracks with the lastfm player. Definitely awesome.
